Unwanted NO2 formation in the ventilator circuit is directly affected by the initial concentration of nitric oxide gas at the point of injection and mixing with the ventilator gas. VERO Biotech’s proprietary technology generates nitric oxide gas inside the GENOSYL Cassette at the concentration required to achieve the target nitric oxide dose at the patient. The initial concentration of nitric oxide gas from the GENOSYL Cassette is well below 800 ppm during normal dosing conditions, which minimizes potential NO2 formation in the ventilator circuit.
